Casino Royale 2006 Runtime
Casino Royale is a worthy exception to the rule that reboots are pointless and underwhelming, delivering just the sort of reinvention that the franchise needed. It may even be the best film in the. CASINO ROYALE (director: Martin Campbell; screenwriters: Neal Purvis/Robert Wade/Paul Haggis/from the novel by Ian Fleming; cinematographer: Phil Meheux; editor: Stuart Baird; music: David Arnold; cast: Daniel Craig (James Bond), Eva Green (Vesper Lynd), Mads Mikkelsen (Le Chiffre), Giancarlo Giannini (Mathis), Caterina Murino (Solange), Simon Abkarian (Alex Dimitrios), Isaach De Bankole.
Like most recent James Bond movies, Casino Royale seems to be structured around sequences that run 10-15 minutes long. Unlike most Bond movies, Casino Royale features both an external and an internal goal for Bond, though the internal contains a twist that shifts it from success to failure in pretty short order. It’s also worth noting that unlike the advice of many screenwriting gurus, nearly every sequence goal ends in SUCCESS, though Bond of course encounters conflicts and setbacks along the way.
