Methods explanation

Laplace Expansion Theorem

The Laplacian development theorem provides a method for calculating the determinant, in which the determinant is developed after a row or column. The dimension is reduced and can be reduced further step by step up to a scalar.

where Aij, the sub-matrix of A, which arises when the i-th row and the j-th column are removed.

How to use the Boggle Solver?

The BigBoggle 5x5 solver is similar to the classic Boggle 4x4. Enter the letters in the 25 cells.

The solver accepts:

- joker boxes (any letter) that are indicated with a * or ? character.

- black or empty boxes (not usable)

- boxes containing a block of letters such as QU

The use of the solver is considered as cheat for online games, cheating is not play.

How to count Boggle score?

In its original version, the official rule give points according to the length of the word:

6 letters = 3 points

7 letters = 5 points

8 letters or more = 11 points

Should I put Q or QU

Since in many languages the letter Q is followed by a U, on a board or a Boggle grid, it is common to assimilate Q as a QU block. Since this rule is not official, on dCode, QU must be written in the box.
